Chase will probably disagree here, but I think we'll be ok next year. The Vince/Morgan combination gives us real rim protection and Morgan will have another year in the weight room. Kijani can really rebound and Drew and Reese give us some scoring and secondary ball-handling. Tre White is the wild card. Obviously getting a lead guard elevates the ceiling significantly from a bubble-NIT team to a much higher seed. This also assumes that Isaiah leaves and Boogie hits the portal as Chase expects

Yeah! Optimism ftw! Let's go team Nick.

Honestly, I'm excited about USC focusing more on recruiting high level guards now that we have a reputation.

High level bigs can come in and get you the tourney almost by themselves, but to go any further on a consistent basis you need shooters who don't turn the ball over.

Excited for what Reese, Kobe, White, Sellers + new recruits can develop into over the next four years. Bigs that come in are only a bonus.

Reese has the potential to make a serious leap next year. A wing rotation of Drew, Reese, Max and Tre could be really good.

Reese is awesome, shame he didn't play more this year, but there's a shot he leads the team in scoring next year

Yessir! The portal is a big key here and we'll see if we take a look at the unsigned guys (Skyy Clark and Julian Phillips)

We’re at a bit of a crossroads because we may have more Class of 2022 guys who want to come, but that would leave our team really, really, really young.

Remember, Reese is younger than Malik Thomas and was originally in the Class of 2021 along with Thomas, Harri and Kobe. Then we have 4 Class of 2022 guys already locked in.

Saw this come up, sure to send Chase screaming in his pillow somewhere. Would love to see the first date this was mentioned on this forum, months ago.

I agree with you. We need a big man that can play big minutes in the post and a transfer pg.

                Transfer PG
                RDW
                Transfer big man
                Drew
                Max?

                Bench
                Kobe
                Anderson
                Vince
                Wright
                Tre

Well, to belabor the point a bit....

In Ethan’s freshman season, during the first 7 games of the season, Ethan played 25 minutes per game. Those were some rough minutes at time. But Ethan was given the space to work through things.

This season, Reese didn’t even get 25 minutes in any game until the Oregon State double OT game where Boogie didn’t play. This was despite Reese leading the team in on-court/off-court plus-minus per minute.

Transfer PG is an absolute must. Could see one of the Freshman starting instead of the transfer big man, but we'll see if the coaches think one of them is ready. Kinda like your idea of a transfer big. Might depend on what Morgan wants to do or if we get Phillips. Although limited, Morgan was much better than Chevez down the stretch and got hurt in on off numbers by playing so much with Anderson

If we get Phillips then he would be the transfer big basically. A guy that can hopefully kill it in the post and open up the perimeter game.
