Good luck to him. If he were a freshman, this would be a stupid decision. But he's 23 years old this year, with a low athletic ceiling. I don't think he was going to significantly improve his draft stock next year. -

I think heβs graduating early, so I totally understand why he would want to leave and make some money as a pro. I noticed that quite a few USC football and basketball players take enough summer classes that they graduate in 3 years, such as Jordan McLaughlin and Chimezir Metu did as well.
Best of luck to him and forever grateful that he and Okongwu began the Compton Magic pipeline for USC.
