  • Returners?

Question for Chase: who is returning next year? Are Eaddy, White and Goodwin eligible to come back? Think Isaiah will return? Thanks!

Fade, Eaddy, White and Goodwin are all eligible to return .... AND they do not count against the 13-scholarship limit.

I've heard as of a couple week ago that the staff was hopeful all three would return. But keep in mind that Eaddy and White are pretty long in the tooth for college kids. One thing that could make a difference is if the NCAA gets the Image and Likeness rules established. That would be some coin in the pocket for those two.

As far as Isaiah Mobley goes, I'm sure Andy hopes he comes back and his dad stays on the staff. Evan is going to be making close to $8mm per year; so anything is possible. But Isaiah won't be an NBA guy by next year and I think his family understands that. He's another kid who could be looking at Image and Likeness stuff.

Thanks Chase. I know those three are getting up there in age but Eaddy, in my opinion, has an opportunity to be Pac-12 POY next year and play himself into the draft. Right now, he wouldn’t be taken in either round.

Finally, any thoughts on the incoming freshmen? I know Dixon-waters and Thomas are the two more highly regarded recruits. Are they supposed to contribute? Do you know anything about them?

I'm not sure what the NCAA rules are -- and I have no idea what the staff has been saying, but I'd be shocked to see Tahj come back because he's already 24. Would be awesome to have him back, but not holding my breath.

Honestly, only what I've seen on video. I think they are both good looking prospects, well worth scholarships. Whether they are major positive contributors will likely depend on them and their work ethic.

You could definitely be right, and I'm not at all promising Tahj will be back. But, he's already 24 years old and agreed to come to USC after already graduating college at the age of 24. I'm not sure what more year would mean, especially if he could make some coin on NCAA Image and Likeness, which would likely be more lucrative than an overseas pro contract.
