  • Election Predictions

Since USC hoops isn't looking too interesting to discuss at the moment, I thought I'd put myself on record with some election picks.

I think the Dem incumbents hold where they are the favorites: Murrary in Washington, Bennett in Colorado and Hochul in New Hampshire.

I think the GOP incumbents hold: Lee in Utah, Rubio in Florida, Grassley in Iowa, and Johnson in Ohio.

For non-incumbents, I think Budd wins in NC and Vance wins in Ohio. I also think the GOP Laxalt gets a big win for the GOP in Nevada.

That leaves the Big 3 then for control of the Senate: Arizona, Georgia and Pennsylvania. I see this split 1-1-1 with Arizona going to Kelly, PA going to Oz, and Georgia going to a runoff.

    Those are my picks.

Put me down for 53-47 R in the senate and an R+3 generic. Agree with your picks but think Blake Masters wins AZ. Ceiling for Republicans to me is 54 if they can also flip New Hampshire. I also think Herschel Walker wins in GA without a runoff.

In the house because we're coming off of redistricting, I think Republicans gain around 20 seats into the low to mid 230s, but there are lots of seats out there Biden won by 8-12, so if it's a bigger than expected wave, and "the dam breaks," you could see it push towards 250

I agree with about 20 House seats.

Oz lost. What is your forecast for USC hoops? It looks to be a rough year. I'm surprise we didn't bring in more help through the transfer portal. We still have no pg, but now are also limited in the post and have less defensive options. I'm also surprise that Enfield didn't make a stronger push to keep Max.

We talked about it during the post-season transfer portal scrum, but it kind of got lost as the summer and early fall went on: we needed a point guard; we didn’t bring one in.

The guards we have don’t handle the ball well enough. I’m not a fan at all of this roster construction.
