  • What's the strategy against AZ?

What will we employ against Az? Ball controll offense (we aren't particularly good in this department), 2 bigs, etc?

I think you have to ride the starters with Reese and shorten the bench. Maybe throw Vince in there for a few minutes to have a body with length against Ballo. Larsson isn't much of a threat, but you can't foul him or he makes his FTs. I think you can get away with hiding Peterson on him and putting White on Ramey. Kobe is your best weapon so I'd try him on Tubelis. He'd be giving up several inches, but he totally dominated the possessions he had against Tristan Da Silva (who's Tubelis's size). He's going to have to be a warrior in this one on the glass.

My guess is Andy plays Peterson on Tubelis but loads up the paint with help on the drives to try and make his life hell. I'm not sure who Tubelis guards on our end, he's terrible on defense. There's no Dalen Terry to shut him down this year. I don't totally hate the strategy of letting Tubelis get his, but then murder him on the other end.

My concerns in this one are Arizona is really good at getting to the line and if Morgan gets into foul trouble, we're in trouble. On the other hand, if we can get Tubelis into foul trouble, that bodes well.

All thins considered, the game probably comes down to whether Kriisa hits deep 3s. In Arizona's losses, he's 4-25 from 3 and 2-7 from 2. Time will tell
