    Interesting note that all six guys at the top of our rotation were honorees here: Boogie (1st Team), Drew (1st Team), Tre (Freshman), Reese (6th Man), Kobe (Defense), Joshua (Defense)

      I would argue AE and Tommy Lloyd did more. Not saying Cronin didn’t do a good job, but this was the preseason #1 most talented team. I would say both usc and arizona outperformed what you would have thought we looked like entering the season.

        This is a major gripe that popular bball commentator Gary Parish has with "coach of the year" awards. He suggests that the award is too often treated as "national *comeback* coach of the year" - in that a lot of voters are bias against voting for a coach that was expected to be good. Because it's expected.

        I kind of agree with Gary here - recruiting, roster turnover, player development, off-season things etc. are all apart of coaching, so if someone is expected to be good, and then they ARE good, well, they shouldn't be punished for doing what was expected.

        Truth is, Cronin won the regular season by 4(?) full games, that's damn impressive. No argument who the coach of the year should be in the PAC.
