    Good luck to Silas.

    Because Boogie is returning?

Any thought on our end to just refuse to release him? If he hadn't signed his NLI, we could have been recruiting much needed depth prior to this.

We definitely cannot refuse to release. What for?

We definitely can refuse to release. An NLI is binding. He would have to sit out a year. But it would probably be received poorly.

I see there's speculation that Silas may be seeing Bronny James coming to USC.

I meant we definitely can't because it would make our program look bad and negatively affect future recruiting.

Haha we can agree on that. Having said that, the times I've seen it happen was either it was an extremely elite athlete (like best player in the country, which Silas isn't) or it put the program in a big bind (which I don't think it does). If this is the result of Silas knowing something we don't, I think it's ok. But it's disappointing, he's one of the guys who impressed a lot this past year and seemed like the classic AE diamond in the rough
