Oregon - Oregon State was a rematch of Sunday’s game in Corvallis. In that game, Oregon was playing for the conference title; the Beavs weren’t playing for much.
The result? Oregon State simply didn’t guard the 3 point line and Oregon jumped out to a huge lead, winning easily. The Ducks were playing for the title, and it was obvious from the effort.
Tonight? The Ducks were maybe playing for a marginally better seed; but not much. Oregon State on the other hand? They were playing for their lives. Loss and the season is over.
The difference in effort was enormous.
