-- Yates took official visits to Houston, Auburn, Texas, Texas A&M and Stanford while in HS. He also reportedly received offers from Gonzaga, Memphis and Baylor.
-- He ended up signing with Washington, because his cousin, Quincy Pondexter was an assistant coach; Quincy is now on staff with Muss & USC
