Pretty much as expected. I think Wazzu is too low.

ASU seems too low for what they have coming but not sure about the chemistry with the new faces. I think we might be too high. We lost a lot.

ASU is gonna depend heavily on Marcus Bagley. ASU struggled around the rim. It’s not clear to me that’s been adequately addressed.

Have you or Nick heard anything about how Lloyd is doing down at AZ?

Some AZ fans are real high on their team after the red-blue game, and tubelis and Mautherin are very good players.

My own personal opinion having watched the Red-Blue games was that this Arizona team is pretty much on par with the 2018-19 squad in terms of being the most light on head-turning talent since the Pac-12 Network started airing the Red-Blue game about a decade ago.

It wasn't that long ago when Arizona had guys like Kobi Simmons, Keanu Pinder and Chance Comanche, who could barely get on the court. Guys like that would be starting on this Arizona team.

I think Tommy is still figuring out how to recruit at Arizona. He's putting a lot of eggs into the Kylan Boswell basket, which doesn't seem wise because a) I think he's overrated and b) Lots of blue bloods are lurking (UK and UCLA). He's already behind for the other top So Cal kids in 2023 and the only other players he's recruited so far are Mookie Cook and Matas Buzelis. Cook is visiting UK, and Buzelis is getting recruited by Duke and a ton of very good programs. Their 2022 class is already sub par after whiffing on Jaden Bradley

I wasn't following basketball too seriously then, so those names are unfamiliar, but would it be safe to say those guys would be starting for us as well?

Sure Boogie and Mobley can hold their own, but after that?

It's clear Az likely won't be a dominant P12 team again until Lloyd figures some stuff out; but there's no reason they can't take games off of SC, Oregon and UCLA this year.

Maybe I'm just paranoid from our tournament exit...

Kobi Simmons and Chance Comanche would definitely be in the running to start for us.

Arizona is counting on big minutes from guys like Kim Aiken, Kerr Kriisa and Justin Kier. Those are guys I don’t think SC would even be recruiting.

The Cats have enough talent to beat anyone. But they’re susceptible to losing to pretty much anyone too.
