- The Cardinal Team coached by Phil Johnson and Rudy Hackett started:

- PG-Kevin Galloway, SG-Sead Odzic, SF-Lodrick Stewart, PF-Jeremy Barr and C-Abdoulaye Ndiaye. It also featured RouSean Cromwell, Ryan Wetherell and Terence Green.
* It was an extremely same gathering of fans with the USC football game on the same time. However there were some interesting faces in the crowd. ...
Paul Westphal and his wife can in just before the end of the first half and sat courtside under the south basket. He was greated by Coach Floyd at halftime and the two sat together to watch most of the second half of the game.

- Malik Story was one of the early arrivals as he came to get a look at the Galen Center as well as watch his friend and AAU teammate Daniel Hackett.

- Dwayne Polee Jr. who made news a couple of weeks ago by giving USC a verbal, before playing his first high school game was there with his dad.

- Renardo Sidney the number one player in the Class of 2009 was there, he spent time with his new teammate Malik Story.

* There has been some talk that for day games the north window would cause a glare that would force them to put drapes over it. It was kept open for this game and didn't seem to be much of a problem on the court.
* USC will play Air Force next Saturday in a closed scrimmage at the Galen Center.
