  • What former players, besides Harold Miner,

could crack this year’s starting line up? I have been following the team since late 70’s and can only come up with Cliff Robinson. Clancy? Big Red? Robert Pack? Vucivich? Taj? Cooper?

Nick Young. OJ Mayo. Demar Derozen.

I would add Gus Williams to Phear’s list

How the heck did I forget about Nick and Demar? OJ was bittersweet. Even though he didn’t quite live up to all the hype, he was pretty damn good.

Nik Vucevic gets my vote. Slide Metu over to the 4 and Bennie the the 3. Alex Stephenson could as well. Loved his toughness. Still imagining how Derrick Williams would've looked teaming up alongside Nik and Alex.

It's not so much that great players from our past couldn't start on this team. Certainly guys like Clancy, Scalabrine, Young, Pruitt and Vucevic would find a spot in the starting lineup. The interesting thing about this team is how many current players would be starting, if not the top players, for previous teams.

I think we have at least 11 guys who could have started in many of the last 35 years.
