With SC hiring a former FBI agent to run an investigation of the program and no action being taken against any of the coaches, wouldn't that signal to recruits that it is okay to at least sign financial aid papers so they can back out of the deal if something does come up? Also, if the FBI does not find anything on the laptops, do they come forth and say so, or do they play coy and keep everybody wondering? I would assume they should know real soon if there was anything bad on the laptops, is no news good news?

USC will have to make its own announcement and recommendations to the NCAA. I don't think there will be any resolution to this for some time.

Yes, I do not expect this to go away quickly.
