  • Way too early 25-26 Depth Chart

I expect one or two more additions, and then some departures once the current players evaluate playing time based on the additions, but gotta start somewhere. Based on the two bigs coming in, I think Muss starts big:

    PG Claude Easter
    SG Arenas Dickerson Harrington
    SF Thomas Jones Shelly
    PF Agee Williams
    C Fielder Cofie

And 10 minutes later Shelly is in the portal

EvanMiya would have Cofie over Fielder

Also, I don’t think you’re gonna see Jones backing up Saint or Dickerson playing SG

I think the title of post says it all "Way too early." Three of OP projected lineup aren't on team possibility 4 in a matter of 10 days.

          G Claude
          G Thomas
          F Jones
          F Dickerson
          C Ausar/Agee/Cofie

          6th Arenas
          7th T. WILLIAMS
          8TH Brownell
          9th Ausar/Cofie
          10th Easter

          Develop Yr Dynes

I left Agee off until he gains eligibility. If Claude bolts, Arenas moves into starting lineup. Won't be surprised if Thomas is our PG next yr. Roster still evolving. I like our pieces.

Well, this didn't age well. 5 of the guys I listed aren't with the program anymore, and that's after Elohim, Yates and Patton jumped. They are making it hard to be a college hoops fan.

2 bigs is interesting. Obviously depends on how well Ausar can move. My guess is either T will or Dickerson starts at the four.

with this lineup, ball-handling is once again our primary concern. Was disappointed to see darling head elsewhere but it seems clear Muss is handing the reins to Rodney Rice.

The three players we can all agree on starting are Rice, Arenas, and Jones. Outside of that you can probably see all kinds of combinations.

                    Rice
                    Jones
                    Arenas
                    T Williams
                    Cofie

                    Rice
                    Arenas
                    Jones
                    Dickerson
                    Ausar

                    Rice
                    Jones
                    Arenas
                    T Williams
                    Dickerson

                    Rice
                    Jones
                    Arenas
                    Dickerson
                    Cofie

Beauty is we have flexibility. You have shooters; Rice/Arenas/Brownell/TWilliams. A great athlete in Jones. Great defender in Dickerson. Bully in Ausar. Cofie is a big who who has high upside. Easter is the kid who may be the wildcard. He may suprise. Dynes seems like a development. Could be wrong but don't see him playing a ton.

Ausar handles the ball and moves way better than T-Will. He played the 3 for Utah last season. They spent a lot to bring him in. He's gonna play big minutes.

It's changing every few minutes. Up to the second:

                        G Chad Baker-Mazara Terrance Williams

                        F Ezra Ausar Jaden Brownell

I wonder if Dickerson would start over Arenas, given his experience and the idea that it would give us a potentially elite defensive unit (other than perhaps at the 5). Regardless, that is a strong lineup. I'd say comfortably top 25.

That's a pretty strong team. Scoring and Defense

Chase and team what's your thoughts on Jordan Marsh? I know there is not a Pod for awhile but Im curious is this a major player for us or like a Pope or Slajchert minor role? For me it’s a surprising and interesting take from both sides. He can definitely play, but he looks like a high-volume scorer without much three-point shooting, and not really a traditional passing point guard. At that size, it’d be tough to play him without a center. Is this our last major NIL play and will Marsh play a lot for us as that point guard/ball handler we need?

It’s a good question, and I think the answer really boils down to whether we land one of these foreign PGs. If we do, it will be tougher competition for Marsh to get minutes. If not, I think he’ll play more minutes than Slajckert or Pope.
