  • Kijani Wright's minutes

Question for those who follow the team closely. Do Wright's low minutes have more to do with CAE running a smaller & quicker lineup? Or is something else at play? I'm a little surprised given how highly he was ranked in HS that he hasn't seen the floor more. I know he's a frosh but he was a considerable get. Thanks in advance.

He's not physically ready for this level yet. I think he will be a force after he puts on some muscle and work on his post game.

I think he just lacks the wingspan and some vertical pop. In HS, he was a terrific rebounder, but college players are bigger and better. His HS ranking definitely was higher than it should have been because Compton Magic and Sierra Canyon promoted him well. He's also a bit old for his class and flashed early in HS while others were able to catch up. Definitely needs to work on his post game and rebounding positioning in the offseason
