  • USF knocks off USC 60-57 in secret scrimmage

SC was a bit short handed without Josh, Vince, AP. Still…. Not good.

Not at all. I keep reading about how good Vince looks in practice but he doesn't play in games? I don't get it. Also, is Josh still out for personal reasons and if so, is he going to play anytime soon?
With the roster we have we should be rolling over teams that we've scrimmaged against so far. Way too soon to be concerned but...

I think better to err on the side of caution. In reality, no one will be talking about these games come March. This is really a glorified practice. I'm sure AE was experimenting with different lineups and combos as much as possible with all those guys out. Wouldn't read too much into it.

More worried that we're opening against Kansas State, not sure how many schools don't give themselves a bit of runway against smaller schools to figure things out. The closest I could find is maybe Baylor vs Auburn, but everyone else gives themselves a game or two against an FCS-like school.

I think we beat Kansas State with NaeQuon Tomlin being out. But if we’re not ready for Gonzaga, that could get ugly. The Zags are beatable, but the effort and execution has to be there

I don't think its that bad, honestly. The worst thing you could do would be losing to FGCU at the beginning of the season hahaha 😅.

In reality though. Instead of underestimating you're opponent, you're gonna come prepared because you know you have to. Coach should have EVERYONE'S attention on the week leading up to practice. And if you get blown out, it's a wakeup call, while still being at worst a Q2 loss.

Biggest concern to me is mental and physical toughness. In FGCU game we were kind of fooling around, then got desperate and scared when we were still down with 10 mins left. Got to just play the game.
