On Az stats vs. SC. I think Az's stats are kinda padded due to SOS and Lloyd.

    Az's schedule:
NAU, UTGV Sacramento State - 300s KP
Wyoming, ND State, Beavers - 100s KP, but bad. Guess you could say Wyoming is alright...

WSU, they were pushed and then they blew the doors off of Mich, which are both solid wins.

Sure, we're 10 games into the season, but the stats are definitely padded with cupcakes - especially when playing at home.

Second reason Az stats might be padded is cause Lloyd brought that 'Zaga killer instinct down to the dessert, do they even sub in backups at the end of the game? SC could have pushed the E. Ku game out to 30 if that wanted, but there's value for us in exploring our depth and rotating freshmen into games.

Az obviously passes the eye test. They're good - and it's not like USC has the toughest SOS either, but important to keep in mind.

    ------------

Other notes: I'd take Baylor over Az, they play really solid team defense and no one has been super physical with them outside of Wichita.

Do you think SC has the depth advantage vs. Az? It's critical that boogie outplays Krissa in that matchup, and Drew can probably slow Mautherin down, but Tubelis just ran through us last year, and Koloko is awesome. Putting them in the Gonzaga system is scary.

Wouldn't it be something if Lloyd won a title before Few?

      Good point, and accurate.

"Do you think SC has the depth advantage vs. Az?"

        This is interesting.

Let's say SC's starters are Boogie, Drew, Isaiah M., Vez and Max. That would mean the reserves are Ethan, Reese, Isaiah W., Joshua Morgan and, I guess, Kobe or Boubacar. Let's say Kobe for now, because he's playing and Boubacar has missed a lot of action.

Zona's B-squad is Pelle Larsson, Justin Kier, Kim Aiken, Shane Nowell and Omar Ballo.

In the ordinary course of things, I'd expect the lineup of Ethan, Kobe, Reese, Isaiah W. and Morgan to beat Larsson, Kier, Aiken, Nowell and Ballo.
