We’re gonna have to re-examine the situation with our guards, as we’re really struggling to get much from them.

But that being said, SC outscored Irvine by 13 in the Second Half by playing tough D, rebounding, taking better care of the ball, and grinding.

I've moved TexasNick's thoughts here so it doesn't look like I'm copying his thoughts, but I do agree with both you and him - as guards go, so do we. Boogie and Drew are ultra talented, but they run hot and cold. And I understand that all players run hot and cold, but these stretches seem prolonged. We were just signing Boogie's praises as one of the best players in Pac-12 a few games ago.

Not sure if you can just create a gamethread for the future with these insights.

Very frustrating game. Though I thought our D really turned it up in the second half. Guard play is a problem

Was at the game as usual and it wasn't our best performance by far. As posted here our guards struggled to score. Drew really struggled to score as did Boogie and EA. If we get anything out of those 3 players we win w/o the drama in the end. Basketball is very simple in that you make shots and a DECENT percent of free throws then usually everything else falls into place. However if you struggle at the line, foul 3 point shooters, and turn the ball over 8 times in the 1st half then you will struggle aginst lesser talented teams...
